Tess Chen

Ms. Tess Chen is a 2024 graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and a fellow at the Georgetown Center on Transnational Business and the Law. She successfully passed the New York Bar examination. She is also qualified to practice law in China.
Ms. Chen has a broad interest in areas such as cross-border transactions, capital markets, and corporate matters. At Georgetown Law, she studied Securities Regulation, Corporations, Contracts, International Business Transactions, and U.S. Sanctions & Export Control, gaining a comprehensive understanding of business law and cross-border legal solutions. Ms. Chen previously worked for an international robotics company, where she was primarily responsible for Sino-U.S. legal support.
Prior to attending Georgetown University Law Center, Ms. Chen interned with Dentons law firm, the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration, and China Securities Co., Ltd. She is an active participant in the Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot, a competition focused on international trade, specifically the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). She served as an oralist in the 20th Vis East Moot and is now coaching the 21st Vis East Moot. Additionally, she authored a thesis titled "The Applicability of the CISG to UAV Sales Contracts" as her graduation thesis.
